Upper Charminster Community Action Group

Safer streets.
Stronger voices.

We support practical community safety activity, encourage effective reporting and work to ensure Upper Charminster is represented in decisions that affect local wellbeing.

Operation Relentless funded

Community Guardians

UCCAG's Community Guardians activity, described in its grant paperwork as the Community Guardians & Safety Reset initiative, is supported by funding from the Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner's Operation Relentless Community Fund.

It combines visible community engagement, resident and business communication, practical environmental action and positive use of shared spaces. The intention is to strengthen confidence and encourage appropriate reporting, rather than volunteers taking on a policing role.

Activity plans will develop with local partners and resident volunteers.

A stronger local voice

Making sure Charminster is heard

UCCAG engages with Dorset Police, BCP Council, local councillors and other statutory partners to advocate for resources and sensible responses to antisocial behaviour and crime. This has included participation in a formal Anti-Social Behaviour Case Review and supporting local CCTV improvements.

Reporting directly to the responsible authority matters: reliable reports help decision-makers see the scale and pattern of problems. A message to UCCAG or a Facebook post does not replace an official report.
